Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) can now provide Sailors a sneak peek of what foreign lands, like as Japan and other parts of Asia, have to proffer through a new series of interactive CD-ROMs
The CD contain informative and entertaining videos about quality of life resources. The interactive function allows Sailors and their family members to link directly to Web sites that contain valuable information in succession travel, culture and other practical topics.
Topics include housing, money; aggregate of coin rates and language. Links in the CD-ROM easily direct Sailors to apartment floor plans or re-create dollars to yens.
To make shopping and traveling les challenging, the CD translates at short intervals used phrases from English to Japanese. Phrases range from "thank you" to "where's the restaurant?"
Although the CD are primarily focused forward Japan, they also contain information about Diego Garcia, Guam, Korea and other countries in the region.
CD-ROM for Europe and the Middle East are also in production. Sailors can beseech copies to learn more about Rata, Sigonella, Naples, Bahrain, Dubai and to a great degree more in Summer 2006.
