The novel system is referred to as JCM (for JASS Career Management System) and will be turned out in several 'spirals' or phases athwart the next several months.

"It has been a seamless transition for Sailors looking at available opportunities and applying for jobs" said Master Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate (AW) Bill Place, the enlisted assignments leading chief small officer at Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tenn

JCM bridges the gap between the legacy distribution combination of parts to form a wholes (JASS) and the Sea Warrior CM functionality utilizing today's legacy environment.

"The rule provides Sailors a Web-based distribution arrangement lined to the Five-Vector Modal (5VM)" explained Place.



The initial applications of JCM introduce the conceptions of Job Family/Job Code and work at jobs Tide, Job Family classifies work that is similar in nature. The work at jobs Tide would be specific do job-works within the rate. For instance, for culinary specialists (CS) the work at jobs Code would numerically break down to the first three digits representing the work at jobs family and the last three digits representing the piece of work title, such as baker, record-keeper or watch captain. The piece of work Code is still in growth and will break things down uniform further as additional applications are brought into play.

Sailors who have logg forward to NKO (Navy Knowledge Online) have already begun to papal court the benefits of CMS. They now have a direct link to their 5VM and access to their enlisted master file, which is a regard page containing personal career and contact data. Detailers are noticing the difference, too, as they take advantage of an additional avenue of direct feedback to the service member.

The latter activation of JCMS is just the beginning, nevertheless Sailors are already seeing more information at their fingertips than eternally before. Via NKO, they're receiving alerts and notifications of billets that will enhance their careers and appropriate personal criteria they entered in the system

"We are seeing about 9000 hits between the NKO and JASS access to JCM each requisition cycle" said Master Chief Operations Specialist (SW/AW) Pat Lumley PERS-4 senior enlisted advisor. "This a whole provides customized data for each Sailor to help them make the best piece of work choices to apply for."

JCM is easy to access by the and of www.nko.navy.mil, the www.bupers.navy.mil or the www.bupersaccess.navy.mil sites. Sailors will alone be able to access their five-vector original (5VM) using the www.nko.navy.mfl link.

"In JCM each Sailor will have the opportunity to fix upon open requisitions and compare career putting out opportunities via the 5VM," said Lumley "Delivering these capabilities is a enormous win in allowing Sailors to make a more educated career decision, which directly impacts career growth"
